Question:

Hi I want to order  Monaco door handlesets for french entry doors with one delivered with a dummy (blind).But I have two questions:

1) What does it mean when I order a Monaco handle and it says:

“You have an unmatched pair of handleset interior and exterior trims. Although it is not requred to purchase both halves of the handleset you must indicate that you do not wish to buy a complete handleset by checking the box.”

2) What is the difference between 505 Bright Brass (PVD) and 605?Thanks!

Answer:

1) When your purchase a handleset exterior, like the Monaco, you must also select a handlest interior. We sell the handleset exteriors and interiors seperately so you can mix and mach your interior/exterior knobs, levers and finishes. You probably have a Monaco FA58 in your cart, and the error message is warning you to select a mating FA59 handleset interior. Here is a link

For french doors you need to order 1 handleset active/normal and 1 in Dummy configuration. To do this just put this comment in your cart when ordering your handleset exterior “Please Ship 1 Handleset as Dummy”. There is no price difference for a dummy handleset.

2) The 505 is a PVD lifetime finish. It’s only really necessary for hardware that is outside exposed to the elements. You can not tell the difference between the 505 and the 605 they look identical.
