Hello I am trying to convert my Camelot handlest that currently has a thumb turn deadbolt to a deadbolt with a key’d lock on both sides. Do you sell the deadbolts with the Camelot type exterior face plate?
Answer:
Actually all you need is to purchase a B62 Double Cylinder Deadbolt and replace your existing thumb turn with your new double cylinder interior keyed lock. You don’t have to replace the exterior deadbolt and faceplate.
To get your new deadbolt keyed the same as your existing locks/deadbolt you can do 1 of the following.
1) buy the new B62 deadbolt in SecureKey (B62Sk) and rekey it your self. The SecureKey deadbolts let you rekey your locks in about 2 seconds with your blue re-keying key when your receive it.
2) Find your existing deadbolt key code and put that in your cart notes when you check out “Please key to 123456″
3) Replace the cylinder of your existing Camelot deadbolt exterior with the cylinder of your new B62 exterior lock. They come apart and are interchangeable, you just have to be a little bit handy.
